Aquesta publicació reflexiona i proposa formes d’organització social per afrontar la manca de llibertats i de defensa dels drets humans en aquest àmbit i l’atenció als seus problemes derivats, a través d’un recull experiències, basades en la metodologia de l’educació entre iguals en l’àmbit del consum de drogues.

La presentació del llibre va ser organitzada pel Centre de Documentació de Serveis Socials i el Col·legi d’Educadores i Educadors Socials de Catalunya (CEESC), a càrrec de la doctora Tré Borràs i l’antropòleg Antoniu Llort, ambdós autors del llibre i membres del Grup Igia. En el transcurs de la conferència també van presentar una maleta d’eines per a la prevenció de conflictes sociocomunitaris.

Beyond Heteronormativity, aims to study and reflect on specific aspects of sexual identity and the concept of gender in relation with the use and abuse of psychoactive substances. The theoretical and practical contribution of several experts provide a critical analysis of specific interventions carried out in very different areas to establish specific guidelines to go beyond and improve the established perspective heteronormativity. Some of the topics covered are the unequal power relationships between men and women, the sex-gender domination system, behaviors that imply risk, the challenges of research, and drug policies about different contexts of consumption and spaces of interaction are some examples to contribute to the development of new goals towards more appropriate intervention.
